Developmental Stages

There is a normal sequence of development that most young children follow as they grow and gain skills. Children may not be able to do all of the items in their age group at any given time. However, if the child can perform only a few of the skills, the family may want to take a closer look at their child's development. Children may have delays in all areas of development, or only in one area such as motor development. Developmental delays may be slight or significant.

Help Me Grow offers parents information about development, and assistance in deciding if they should have their child screened or assessed. Just give us a call at (952) 368-0160. The following is a brief list of skills compiled from several sources. These skills are accomplished by the majority of children at the ages indicated.
